The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSHARC) signed a financial support memorandum with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) the day before yesterday to support the health, water and sanitation sectors in Gaza, worth $4 million, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Conjoined Twins 2024 in Riyadh.
The memorandum was signed by the Assistant Supervisor General of the Center for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali, and UNICEF Representative for the Gulf States, Al-Tayeb Adam.
Under the memorandum, operations will be implemented to provide basic health support represented by the necessary medical equipment and devices for sick children in the Gaza Strip, benefiting 73,000 children, in addition to providing water, sanitation and hygiene needs, benefiting 106,590 individuals.
This memorandum comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s tireless efforts through the center to provide relief to those affected by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in order to alleviate their suffering as a result of the current humanitarian crisis they are going through.
