Cairo – Ambassador Tariq Ali Al-Ansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, headed Qatar’s delegation to the 164th ordinary session of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent representatives, held at the League’s General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo. The meeting served as preparation for the upcoming ministerial session scheduled for Thursday.
The discussions addressed a number of pressing issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause as the central issue of the Arab nation, in addition to matters of regional security and stability, and supporting Arab states in safeguarding their sovereignty while advancing sustainable development.
Participants also deliberated on current global challenges and explored ways to strengthen joint Arab action in addressing them, in a manner that reinforces the Arab position on the international stage and reflects the spirit of solidarity and shared destiny.
