Yesterday, March 6, the Canadian Minister of Transport, Omar Al-Ghabra, received Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, the Egyptian ambassador to Canada, within the framework of the embassy’s regular contacts with senior Canadian officials and political circles.
The meeting witnessed an extended dialogue on various aspects of relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them. Especially in the field of transportation.
Ambassador Hafez confirmed that the meeting reflected the desire of the two countries to push forward their relations at various levels, pointing to the keenness to maintain constant contact with senior Canadian officials to discuss existing and proposed cooperation frameworks, and exchange ideas on new areas of cooperation and potential opportunities in this regard.
Ambassador Hafez affirmed the embassy’s intention to continue its efforts to push forward the momentum witnessed by the Egyptian-Canadian relations, and to build on them to consolidate the bonds of important relations between the two countries.
