Supporting Mr president’s interest of freedom of civil society.. Governor of Red Sea witnesses 36th conference Psychology in Hurghada

Major General, the governor of the Red Sea Amr Hanafi, has witnessed the launch event of the 36th conference for Psychology, Monday morning. It’s organized by the Egyptian Association for Psychological Studies, in one the tourist hotels in Hurghada in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the association Dr Kariman Aweidah, and the General Rapporteur of the conference Dr Mohamed Mostafa Al-Deeb, with the participation of 150 scientists including specialists and researchers from Egyptian and Arab universities and research centres.
The Governor welcomed the attendants during his speech, expressing his happiness at holding the conference events in the charming city of Hurghada. Pinpointing the importance of the conference that it supports the unity and cooperation between the participants. It results in achieving effective recommendations that could be applied to serve the Egyptian and the Arabic community.
In the same context, the Governor acknowledged the Egyptian Society for Psychological Studies for the organization of the conference. Pointing out that the Egyptian state appreciates the broad role of civil societies and institutions in following Egypt’s Vision 2030. Emphasizing that President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi promotes the freedom of civil society and supports civic work to meet the sustainable development plan which the country conducts.
On the other hand, the Governor explained that the attention devoted by the political leadership to disabled people is great. He notes the state has allocated a year for them under the motto “Diversely able” that out of this interest. He also emphasizes the province will provide many services and facilities for people with disabilities during the upcoming period.
It is mentioned that the conference is the thirty-sixth for psychology in Egypt and the twenty-eighth in Arab countries. It aims to activate and develop the fields of psychology on the local and regional levels. It also addresses several axes. And the most important of which are positive psychology and quality of life, psychology and issues of citizenship and belonging, psychology in facing issues of violence and extremism, rehabilitation. In addition to care programs for people with disabilities, future directions and modern visions in psychology.
