Ambassador Soha Gendy, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, announced the agreement with Ashraf Doss, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fernpro Global Investment Company in the United States of America, which owns the logistic zone in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, and one of the most important and prominent Egyptian businessmen and investors abroad, to provide a group of distinguished job opportunities. For graduates of the training program for combating illegal immigration, which is implemented by the Ministry of Immigration in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing.

This came during the participation of Ambassador Suha Gendi, Minister of Immigration, in laying the foundation stone for the logistics zone in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, which is affiliated with Fernpro Global, and owned by Eng. Ashraf Doss, an Egyptian businessman in the United States of America, and one of the members of the founding board of the Egyptians Abroad Investment Company, which the Ministry of Immigration is working on establishing to become a crucible for all Egyptians abroad to invest in Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Ali Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Development. Local, Major General Gamal Noureddine, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, and Dr. Tariq Rahmi, Governor of Gharbia.

Ambassador Suha Gendi, Minister of Immigration, said that this cooperation reflects the close relations between the Ministry of Immigration and M. Ashraf Doss, and the continuation of the joint work in the fields of investment, as well as the implementation of the presidential initiatives “a decent life” and “the rescue boats”, which aim to reduce the phenomenon of illegal immigration, through training and qualification for young people, as well as providing them with alternative and safe job opportunities.

The Minister of Immigration added that the agreement aims to provide job opportunities in the logistics area for those who graduated from the special youth training program in the governorates that export illegal immigration, and among them are the youth of Kafr El-Sheikh governorate on the various professional trades required to participate in the national projects implemented by the state (such as carpentry, plumbing, architecture, electrical work, etc.). This comes in light of the cooperation between the Ministries of Immigration and Housing, within the framework of the two presidential initiatives, A Decent Life and Lifeboats.

Her Excellency continued that this comes in order to activate the role of the Ministry of Immigration in creating safe alternatives to illegal immigration, and she said: “We give opportunities and hope to young people through training and qualification for employment so that they have an alternative to throwing themselves into the sea,” explaining that providing job opportunities for young people is the real way to survive. It is capable of removing young people from those misconceptions about illegal immigration and opening new and spacious horizons towards building a better future for them inside their country, in addition to spreading societal awareness of this dangerous phenomenon, and the harm it represents to young people, their families and society as a whole.

Ambassador Suha Gendi also referred to the process of cooperation between the Ministry and Engineer Ashraf Doss, which dates back to 2020, with the signing of a cooperation protocol to provide job opportunities in the logistics area in Tanta to employ Egyptian workers returning from abroad due to the global challenges resulting from the Corona pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war, and a large number of workers have already been appointed. Workers and employees returning from abroad in the projects of Eng. Ashraf Doss, for their high technical level and their contribution to training their colleagues on the high standards of work.

For his part, M. Ashraf Doss thanks and appreciation to Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of Immigration, for her constant and continuous support since she assumed the portfolio of the Ministry of Immigration. She also believes in what Egyptian investors abroad can achieve by investing in Egypt. From this standpoint, she works diligently to communicate with investors abroad to invite them to invest in Egypt and overcome All the obstacles that they might face, and we have seen their full support in the project of the logistic area in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, so that we can today lay the foundation stone and start the construction of the project.

Doss added that the logistics area project will provide about 30,000 job opportunities, and the trainees and graduates of the Ministry of Immigration training program in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing will have a share of these opportunities, because they have capabilities and capabilities in a different professional field of work, as well as a high level as a result of receiving this training, and we must benefit them in this important project.

It is worth noting that the Kafr El-Sheikh Logistics Zone project is planned to be built on an area of 22 acres, and includes a large commercial center, logistical warehouses, administrative buildings, open markets, a government training center, a school, and many other services, which aims to provide approximately 30,000 job opportunities for the people of Kafr El-Sheikh governorate. and Delta governorates.
