Egypt and Iran discuss the bilateral relations and issues of common interest on the sidelines of ISC in Gambia

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, met with his Egyptian counterpart, Mr. Sameh Shoukry, on the sidelines of the 15th Islamic Summit Conference (ISC) in Banjul, the capital of Gambia.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed many issues of common concern, most notably the developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and its repercussions, which lasted seven months and included all forms of genocide.

The two sides warned the Israeli side of the expansion of the war and the necessity of an immediate ceasefire, the exchange of prisoners, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state that enjoys all the terms of its membership in the United Nations, etc.

The two sides also discussed Egyptian-Iranian relations and efforts to strengthen them soon.
