Cairo – In a gesture reflecting both diplomatic engagement and human warmth, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen, Head of the Turkish Mission in Cairo, hosted an Informal Group of Ambassadors for a working lunch dedicated to discussing regional developments, particularly the Gaza ceasefire efforts.
The luncheon brought together an esteemed circle of diplomats representing France, Germany, Japan, Qatar, Oman, Singapore, and Italy — each contributing perspectives on the ongoing humanitarian and political challenges in the region, and on pathways toward a lasting and comprehensive peace.
Amid thoughtful exchanges on regional stability and the importance of coordinated international diplomacy, the gathering also carried an emotional note. The ambassadors bid farewell to their distinguished colleagues from Qatar and Italy, who have completed their terms in Egypt. Their service and friendship were warmly acknowledged by Ambassador Şen and fellow envoys, marking the occasion with both gratitude and camaraderie.
The meeting underlined Turkey’s active role in promoting dialogue and understanding among nations, reaffirming that diplomacy, when paired with sincere human connection, remains the most powerful bridge in turbulent times.
