Alexey Tevanyan, the Russian Trade Representative in Cairo, has announced Russia’s active participation in the Egyptian government’s health initiative, “Etme’en” (Rest Assured), aimed at the early detection of diseases.
This partnership comes alive through a medical project launched by the Russian company “Prof Polymed,” in close cooperation with the Egyptian Healthcare Authority and with the full backing of the Russian Trade Representation in Cairo.
AI-Driven Care in the Heart of Egypt
The project kicked off on June 13, offering free, comprehensive medical screenings to residents in the Minya and Suez governorates.
-
Advanced Equipment: Utilizing state-of-the-art medical devices and Artificial Intelligence.
-
The 15-Minute Turnaround: A unified digital platform automatically analyzes X-rays, mammograms, and ECGs, generating preliminary diagnostic reports in just 15 minutes.
-
Immediate Impact: More than 1,000 citizens have already undergone screening.
During a visit to the Minya Medical Complex, Egypt’s Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, alongside Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority, expressed deep interest in these technologies, emphasizing their vital role in accelerating mass screenings. Looking ahead, “Prof Polymed” reaffirmed its commitment to expanding medical cooperation with Egypt and participating in future healthcare initiatives.
Expanding the Medical Alliance
Beyond the immediate screenings, Russian companies—supported by the Trade Representation—continue to strengthen Egypt’s medical supply chain and future production capabilities:
