IN a historic celebration of learning and cultural exchange, U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Eric Gaudiosi and His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, marked the graduation of 220 students from the Coptic Youth English Language Immersion Summer Camp. The ceremony took place at the Administrative Headquarters of the Papal Residence in Cairo.
Supported by the U.S. Embassy, the initiative was designed to strengthen English language proficiency and broaden educational horizons for Egyptian youth.

About the Initiative

The Students: 220 Egyptian teenagers gathered from Alexandria, Cairo, and Borg El Arab.

The Program: A six-week intensive immersion experience led by seven American volunteers.

A Historic Milestone: Marks the first official English-language partnership between RELO Cairo and the Coptic Orthodox Church.
