Arab League and Iraq Discuss Regional Stability in Teleconference

Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the Arab League, held a telephone conversation today with Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq.

The two officials discussed the escalating regional tensions and explored pathways to achieve peace and stability. They emphasized the critical need to address current developments through diplomatic channels and stressed the importance of revitalizing intra-Arab relations to safeguard the region and preserve the nation-state as a cornerstone of security and stability.

Furthermore, both sides agreed to maintain ongoing cooperation, keep communication channels open, and utilize all diplomatic avenues to protect Arab rights. They also underlined the urgency of activating and developing the Arab League’s mechanisms to benefit the Arab world amidst systemic attempts at regional hegemony and subjugation.
