THE Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Cairo observed Youm-e-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation) today, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The commemoration brought together members of the diplomatic mission, media representatives, and prominent figures from the Pakistani diaspora in Egypt.

The event highlighted the ongoing ramifications of India’s unilateral actions taken on August 5, 2019, which sought to alter the internationally recognized status of Jammu and Kashmir. Speakers noted that these measures directly violate international law and relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions. They emphasized that such illegal actions can neither change the dispute’s legal reality nor undermine the Kashmiris’ inherent right to self-determination.
Reiterating Pakistan’s moral, political, and diplomatic commitment to the Kashmiri people, speakers stressed that lasting peace and stability in South Asia depend entirely on a just and peaceful resolution of the dispute in accordance with UNSC resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri population.
The Embassy reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to highlighting the Jammu and Kashmir issue across international forums. It urged the global community to uphold its responsibilities and take effective steps toward a durable solution that respects international law and safeguards the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people.
In his address, H.E. the Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled position on the dispute. He underscored that enduring regional security requires a peaceful resolution rooted in UN resolutions that reflect the will of the Kashmiris. Calling upon the international community to play a more proactive role in addressing the humanitarian situation in the occupied territory, the Ambassador renewed Pakistan’s firm pledge to stand by the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of the inalienable right to self-determination.
