DR. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, hosted a dinner on Friday, October 2, in honor of ministers and senior officials participating in the Alamein Africa Forum.

The gathering brought together the Prime Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, along with the Foreign Ministers of Angola, Burundi, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Uganda, Libya and Togo; Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; the U.S. President’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs; the Chief Executive Officer of the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD; and the First Vice-President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The dinner provided an opportunity to strengthen dialogue and consultation on advancing joint African action, while exploring ways to broaden the horizons of economic and investment cooperation across the continent.

Participants exchanged views on mechanisms for strengthening economic and investment partnerships among the countries and institutions represented at the Forum. They also discussed key regional and international issues of common interest, reflecting the importance of sustained consultation in addressing shared challenges and opening new avenues for cooperation.

Against the backdrop of Africa’s evolving economic and strategic landscape, the gathering underscored a simple but powerful principle: when dialogue builds trust, partnership can become the bridge between Africa’s ambitions and its shared future.
