As part of the celebrations organized by the Embassy of Venezuela in Cairo to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Venezuela, the city prepared itself for a night of art glowing with joy and wonder.
In his speech during the ceremony, H.E. Wilmer Barrientos, Ambassador of Venezuela to Egypt, praised the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and the long history of cooperation that binds them. Earlier, Tamer Abdelmonem, Deputy Minister of Culture, opened the evening with welcoming remarks, greeting the guests, the ambassador, the Venezuelan community, and the artistic delegation, and highlighting the power of art as a bridge that connects peoples beyond borders.
The event took place on the stage of El-Samer Theatre on Sunday, 16 November 2025, in a festive atmosphere that revived the meaning of how the East and the Caribbean can meet on one rhythm and one heartbeat.
The Caracai Venezuelan troupe enchanted the audience with vibrant performances infused with the colors and spirit of Venezuela—dances echoing the mountains, coastlines, and the stories carried by the winds of Latin America.
In contrast, Egypt’s iconic Reda Folkloric Troupe dazzled with its timeless performances, blending the heritage of the Nile Valley with the rhythms of the countryside, Upper Egypt, and Nubia—reviving the deep beauty of the Egyptian cultural identity.
The evening culminated in joint artistic scenes where Latin rhythms intertwined harmoniously with Oriental melodies, creating a vivid artistic tapestry that demonstrated how art becomes a universal language—one that transcends geography and draws nations closer through music, movement, and shared emotion.
It was a night where culture triumphed over distance, proving once again that relations between nations are not built by agreements alone, but by the moments when soul meets soul on a single stage.
