Poetry: Ashraf AboArafe
The face of Arab grace — resplendent, bright,
His name makes words and hearts ignite.
Qatar’s envoy — honor in his stride,
In every home, his warmth applied.
He bore a message few could bear,
And rose where noble souls repair.
He joined the Nile and Gulf as one,
Where east and west in light are spun.
Inspired by faith, by thought refined,
He sought the peace of humankind.
In every hall, his voice was known,
A civil soul with roots well-sown.
He fought with pen — the press his field,
For truth, his sword became his shield.
With steady heart and wise intent,
His deeds through history are sent.
At the UN’s stage, his courage stood,
For right, against the tyrant’s flood.
He never broke his Arab creed,
But served his nation’s sacred need.
O Lord, preserve him, raise his name,
Grant light and strength, eternal flame.
In every step, make paths align,
With truth and goodness intertwined.
Record for him a timeless praise,
As stars still sing through endless days.
And bind in hearts a love sincere —
That honors God, and Arabs dear.
