In September 16 2025, Cairo will host one of Africa’s most significant trade gatherings, as the AfCFTA Trading Company of Egypt, under the auspices of Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Trade and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, convenes the Private Sector Business Forum at one of the most prestigious hotels. The event will be held on the sidelines of the High Council Ministerial Meeting of African Trade and Investment Ministers.

Held under the theme “Trade Builders Beyond Borders – Connect Africa NOW,” the Forum aims to accelerate intra-African trade by promoting business-to-business (B2B) engagement, showcasing opportunities under the AfCFTA Agreement, and amplifying the role of SMEs, women-led enterprises, and youth entrepreneurs in driving Africa’s economic growth.

The high-level event will bring together:

  • African Ministers of Trade and Investment,
  • Senior representatives from industry federations and central banks,
  • Leading private sector companies, financial institutions, and government officials,
  • Innovative SMEs and entrepreneurs from across the continent.

Programme highlights include a keynote address on AfCFTA, a presentation on the role of trading companies in industrialization, and several panel discussions addressing Africa’s trade and industrial future. Key topics will cover industrial development, strategic partnerships, MSME empowerment, and the effective implementation of AfCFTA through trade facilitation and regulatory harmonization.

In addition to policy dialogue, the Forum will host an exhibition showcasing African innovation and provide opportunities for B2B networking and partnerships, reinforcing Egypt’s role as a gateway for regional and continental integration.
