No doubt that confusion between writing and codification, and the fact that codification is the writing led to confusion in understanding the texts. If contemporaries understood the fact of codification and writing and realized the difference between them, some scholars would not doubt validity of the Sunnah.
The Sunnah (prophet’s speech) was written while the prophet Mohamed is alive and was collected after the first hundred years at the age f Omar Ibn Abdulaziz and was classified, arranged and tabbed in middle Hijri Century and was completed in the 3rd Hijri century.
The Prophet Mohamed banned writing the Sunnah in the beginning of Quran for the far of confusion, but when people became familiar to Quran, the Prophet Mohamed allowed for the Sunnah to be written during his life.
But there are some people who think that Sunnah is just to be remembered not to be written and was not written until 100 Hijri years passed, so they doubted in the correction of Sunnah as they think that the human memory is too weak to remember.
So, Remembering or writing Sunnah, why doubt?!
